Photography & Me
I’ve been taking photographs for as long as I can remember, having started by photographing Formula 1 racing, although I wasn't too serious about it until I joined Gwynfa camera club in the 1980s. With a lot of practice and perseverance I've since managed to obtain a couple of photography distinctions (AWPF, EFIAP, DPAGB & BPE).
These days I’ll have a go at photographing anything but landscapes have become my passion. In recent years I’ve been lucky enough to visit many locations including Iceland and have fallen in love with that mad, cold, hot, bonkers, beautiful, ugly island!
Currently I use a full frame DSLR and some lenses, two of which are white; everyone knows that white lenses make you a better photographer. Usually the one on the camera isn't the one I need. I also have some nifty filters that cost more than some of my cameras.
Away from photography my interests include Rugby Union, Formula 1, cars and really bad disaster movies. I'm still gutted that Wales lost in the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup and equally devastated that the drunk crop-dusting pilot got killed in ‘Independence Day’.
